Opt-out feature: If at any time you would like to unsubscribe from our email list, you may do so by contacting us at optout@firstfreedomfirst.org.

Our site provides users the opportunity to opt-out of receiving communications from us and our partners at the point where we provide information to the user. You will receive a “thank you” message from us. At that point you may opt-out of receiving any further communications by email, or you may opt-out at a future time.

Your privacy is protected: We do not share, trade, rent or sell your information with unaffiliated groups without your permission. We do, however, share your information with the following affiliated groups:

  • The Interfaith Alliance Foundation (TIAF) and Americans United for Separation of Church and State (AU); and project partners.

The petition: When you sign the petition we treat your first name, city, state, and comments as public information—for example, we may provide compilations of petitions, with your comments, to the President and legislators, other targets, or to the press. We will not make your last name or your street address publicly available, but we may transmit it to appointed and elected officials as part of a petition. This is a standard industry practice in such situations. In no such case will we disclose your email address or phone number, without your permission. We may also make your comments, along with your first name, city and state available to the press and public online.

Statistics and demographic information: When you visit our website, we collect some non-identifying basic information. This includes total number of visitors, pages viewed, and other non-identifying information. We use this aggregate information to improve our site and to make your experience on our web site as smooth as possible. We use your IP address to help diagnose problems with our server, and to administer our web site. Your IP address is used to gather broad demographic information.

Our online surveys may ask visitors for contact and demographic information. All of this information is collected on a voluntary basis. We use contact data from our surveys to send the user information about our organization. The user's contact information is also used to contact the visitor when necessary. Users may always opt-out of receiving future mailings; see the opt-out section above. We use this aggregate data to understand our web audience's overall demographics and tailor our content, services and programs accordingly.
